El grupo de hip hop Cypress Hill y el rapero 50 Cent ofrecerán juntos un concierto por primera vez en nuestro país a inicios de junio, confirmó el gerente de Relaciones Públicas de Kandavu Producciones, Jair Toledo. Ellos compartirán escenario con Daddy Yankee, quien también estará en la segunda edición del ‘Urban Dance’. El año pasado, los protagonistas de este festival fueron el jamaiquino Sean Paul y Tego Calderón, quienes reunieron a cerca de 30 mil espectadores. Este 2009, los organizadores esperan superar ampliamente esa cifra.
“Está confirmada la llegada de los tres artistas. (...) En la página web de Cypress Hill aparecía que iba a ser el 30 de mayo porque fue el compromiso inicial, pero tenemos que cuadrar con los otros dos. Preferimos hacerlo en junio”, indicó Toledo a elcomercio.com.pe.
El representante de Kandavu Producciones informó que el “Urban Dance II” se realizará en la explanada del Estadio Monumental de Ate y las entradas estarán a la venta en los módulos de Tu Entrada.
Asimismo, está evaluando la participación de un grupo peruano como telonero de los artistas internacionales. “Pronto haremos la oficialización del evento y daremos más detalles de la producción”, sentenció Jair Toledo.
Lima vive una fiebre de conciertos de artistas importantes. A la tocada de Iron Maiden, realizada a fines de marzo, anoche el grupo estadounidense Kiss hiptonizó a los limeños.
La banda, liderada por Paul Stanley y Gene Simmons, se presentó con toda su parafernalia, su pirotecnia y, sobre todo, su inoxidable catálogo de clásicos ante un público capitalino que transpiró con entregado entusiasmo desde muy temprano en el Estadio Nacional.
